About

Vivienne Ibach is an artist working across drawing and installation. Her practice explores organic forms, bodily presence, and the shifting relationship between closeness and distance. Using materials such as clay, plaster, wood, paper and coloured pencil, she investigates intimacy, abstraction, and physical experience.

Starting from an interest in the human body, her work has developed towards abstract, enclosed forms that relate to one another through proximity, tension, and connection. Materiality and process are central to her practice: through layering, hatching, and subtle transitions between light and dark, she creates forms that evoke volume, touch, and bodily presence. Her works often move between personal reference and abstraction, creating a quiet sense of intimacy while remaining open and ambiguous.
